Alabama
We went to Alabama last week to visit Eric. He has been going to Huntsville for two weeks at a time since June! Its been pretty tough on all of us, but last week was his last of the summer so we went for a visit. We had a great time! While Eric worked I took the boys swimming, to the Early Works Childrens Museum and the Huntsville Depot. We also went to the Space and Science Center.
Here is Carter enjoying the play area of the Huntsville Depot.
Jacob in the Engine. Everything was climbable and just their size.
Playing together in the cabose.
Carter liked being able to play all by himself!
There was a play diner area and the boys made some great snacks!
Making soup!
The Depot had an area with old cars and a firetruck. Jacob wouldn't get on, but Carter had a great time trying on the hat.
The building the museum was in was build in the 1800s. They had all kinds of displays set up with old trains and memorabilia.
The boys liked the huge train set.
We enjoyed the pool at the hotel. Carter made major progress this week. He started just floating and ended by swimming the whole length of the pool and getting out of the ladder in the deep end. It was amazing! He puts his face in and blows bubbles!!
Jacob mastered the cannon ball this week! He's just jumping here, but he liked yelling "Cannonball!" as he jumped in.
Getting in all by himself.
Night night.
Here we are at the Early Works Children's Museum. They had this playroom with all kinds of interactive toys. They loved the fishing area.
